Full Professor in Marketing

to begin in summer semester 2022, or earlier/later by mutual agreement. The position is a tenured W3 position.


Scientific Environment
The professorship will be assigned to the TUM School of Management and the Academic Department Marketing, Strategy & Leadership. The Department seeks to strengthen its focus in marketing.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of marketing. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the university’s bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with an exceptional international research and teaching reputation and an outstanding academic record through an internationally recognized research program. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude and the ability teach in English, are prerequisites. Substantial international research experience is expected. Successful candidates are expected to perform cutting-edge research in the field of marketing, show proven ability and leadership in research management as well as proven ability to gain and to lead cooperative research projects and to attract third-party funding (DFG, EU, AiF). Commitment to interdisciplinary research at the interface of management and technology is essential (e.g., behavioral research generating recommendations for marketing strategy and operations, marketing’s contribution to innovation, marketing implications of new technology).
