Instructor/Assistant Professor (Term) of Marketing University of Louisville

Position Description

The Marketing Department in the University of Louisville’s College of Business seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, teaching-intensive faculty position (non-tenure track) in Marketing to begin August 1, 2022. Expected teaching load is 4/4 (4 courses for 12 credit hours a semester, 24 credit hours per year). Appointment will be at the rank of instructor or assistant professor, depending upon academic credentials and experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate face-to-face and online courses in Marketing Research, Marketing Analytics, and/or other courses in marketing topics, in addition to meeting reasonable service responsibilities for the Department and College. There may also be opportunities to teach MBA or MSBA (Master of Science in Business Analytics) courses in Marketing and/or Marketing Analytics, depending upon expertise and interest.

Qualifications

For appointment at the rank of instructor, candidates must possess an MBA or a master’s degree in Marketing or a closely related field and have significant professional experience. For appointment at the rank of assistant professor, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related area. Candidates ideally will have experience teaching marketing research or analytics at the university level. The ability to develop and teach online courses will also be a strong consideration. Knowledge of software such as SPSS, Python, R, and/or SAS is preferred.
