Position: Assistant Professor of Marketing (Two Positions), Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems, William G. Rohrer College of Business –10 month full-time tenure track position. 

Department Information: 

The Marketing Program at Rowan University offers a Bachelor of Science Degree, an undergraduate minor, and an MBA concentration in Marketing. The program is housed in a department that also includes Management Information Systems and Supply Chain and Logistics.

The Marketing Program has enhanced its undergraduate curriculum in recent years with expanded coverage of marketing research and analytics. With these hires, the department expects to provide better coverage of existing courses, introduce new courses, build new partnerships, and increase integration of the programs as well as increased collaboration with other Rowan University colleges/departments/programs and external partners. Particularly exciting is Rowan’s university-wide focus on sustainability, with a number of hires planned in this arena over the coming year. 

The Marketing Program is part of the Rohrer College of Business, which has approximately 2,500 undergraduate and masters’ level students.  The College is accredited by the International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and its MIS program is accredited by ABET.

Description: 

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing with an emphasis on marketing research, advanced marketing research, marketing analytics, international marketing, marketing strategy and sustainability; maintaining an active research agenda in a related area and in support of quality teaching; participating in assurance of learning activities; engaging actively in department, college, university, professional, and outreach activities. Teaching assignments will include undergraduate and graduate courses in a traditional classroom format as well as online delivery.

Qualifications: 

Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB accredited institution by August 31, 2022 is required.  Proven excellence as a teacher and demonstrated potential as a researcher are preferred. Prior experience in graduate and online teaching is desirable as is relevant experience in a business setting.
