Description

The Department of Marketing at DePaul University invites candidates to apply for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in Fall, 2022. Prospective candidates must have demonstrated the ability to produce original and innovative scholarly work of the highest possible quality with impact in A and B-level marketing journals. Faculty will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. All candidates will be considered, however, preference will be given to candidates who are interested in teaching courses in the areas of marketing strategy and/or marketing analytics and who conduct research in these areas. Preference also will be given to candidates with prior business experience. Doctoral students with an ABD will be considered with the expectation that they have completed their Ph.D. no later than August 2022.

The College and Department

Founded in 1912, the Driehaus College of Business was among the first 10 business colleges in the United States and the first at an American Catholic university. The College offers undergraduate degrees in Marketing, part-time and full-time MBA programs, a large number of M.S. degrees, and a D.B.A. program. There are approximately 4,000 undergraduate, 2,000 graduate students, and 50 D.B.A students enrolled in the College.

The college is named for DePaul alumnus Richard H. Driehaus in recognition of his longtime partnership with his alma mater and $30 million gift in 2012. The college’s business graduate school and MBA program were introduced in 1948. The school was named the Charles H. Qualifications

Ph.D. in Marketing or related disciplines from an AACSB accredited University.

A robust research agenda that is advancing through the publication process in line with general expectations for a PhD candidate (e.g. conference papers, a manuscript under review, a multiple author publication, etc.)

University-level teaching experience with evidence of high-quality teaching.
