The College of Business (COB) at Alfred University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Marketing beginning Fall 2022. Our AACSB-International accredited college provides a vibrant undergraduate business program offering majors/minors in various business disciplines along with new cutting edge studies in health planning & management, business analytics and data analytics – an interdisciplinary degree housed in the COB. The marketing curriculum contributes to unique management programs in Arts, Equine Business and Sports. AU is also home to a growing MBA program. The university values excellence in teaching, the development of students as individuals and offers opportunities in our online instructional programs. Interactive student clubs, student-run businesses, and a unique paid experiential program (APEX) provide opportunities for active learning.

Requirements:

We are seeking a candidate who is teaching oriented with an established or emerging record of successful research publications who can fulfill AACSB Scholarly Academic qualifications. The appointment requires a Ph.D. in Marketing or fields related to Integrated Marketing Communications; ABD considered with evidence of completion within one year. Teaching will include undergraduate and MBA courses in marketing. Candidates with an interest in non­ traditional teaching methods (e.g., online, experiential learning) and current experience in digital/social media marketing are especially attractive.

We may consider an experienced practitioner with a master’s degree where their focus would be on teaching at the undergraduate level. They would have to fulfill AACSB Scholarly Practitioner qualifications.

Salary will be commensurate with degree and experience; research and professional development support is available.
