About the Department and/or College

The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Marketing and Supply Chain Management. In addition, students can enhance their abilities by completing a concentration in sales or supply chain management. The area also offers an online MS in Marketing Research & Analytics degree. The area currently has 21 faculty members and 11 doctoral students. Our award-winning faculty members publish research in top journals in the field and are subject-matter experts in consumer behavior, marketing theory, marketing strategy, sales management, and supply chain management. The area takes pride in excellence in teaching and has been awarded the Texas Tech University Departmental Excellence in Teaching Award. In the fall of 2018, the area has launched a new Sales & CRM Excellence Center.

 The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited. The college strives to foster, value, and embrace diversity, and create an equitable and inclusive environment in which all members of our community feel safe, respected and empowered. It offers a BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information systems, marketing, management, and supply chain management. It has three MBA programs: Professional MBA, Online MBA, and the STEM MBA. It also offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research & analytics. In addition, it offers a Ph.D. with concentrations in accounting, finance, information systems & quantitative science, management, and marketing. It has 73 tenured or tenure-track faculty members and 46 non-tenure-track faculty members. The college has approximately 4,800 undergraduate, 850 masters, and 55 doctoral students.

Major/Essential Functions

The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for up to two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of an assistant professor, advanced assistant professor, or associate professor to begin in Fall 2022. Expertise in sales, marketing research, marketing/sales analytics, marketing models, marketing management, and related domains is desired. We invite applicants with research interests in any aspect of Marketing and with any sub-disciplinary background.
 
Qualified applicants should be prepared to teach personal selling, sales management, customer relationship management, marketing analytics, marketing research, sales analytics, or digital marketing/social media marketing analytics at the undergraduate and at the master’s level. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations is desired. Candidates should have a demonstrated record or potential for publishing in top-tier academic marketing journals, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching (evidenced by positive teaching evaluations, teaching awards, etc.), a desire to participate in doctoral education, and an interest in teaching online classes. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations and experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities.  Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Candidates must hold a doctorate in marketing (or must have earned a doctorate by August 2022) from an AACSB International accredited university. Salary and benefits are competitive.
