Position Description Summary

The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) invites applications for a specialized teaching position at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor in Marketing starting as early as August of 2021. This is a contractual position for 3 academic years, and may be renewed. We invite applications from candidates with strong teaching credentials in various fields of marketing at both the MBA and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, and Pricing Strategy, and have an interest in developing new and innovative courses in evolving fields of marketing.Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach at least a six-course load, perform service for GWSB, and be expected to develop and teach 1-2 electives online. This is primarily a teaching and university service position, but university faculty are expected to stay current with the managerial literature and, depending on teaching load, may be asked to do some publication related to teaching such as cases, texts, or articles in practitioner journals.Minimum Qualifications

Applicants for this position must have a completed Ph.D. degree. Applicants must have evidence of demonstrated excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations for at least two years of fulltime university teaching and service in the field of Marketing. Courses taught must include graduate and undergraduate courses in Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, and Pricing Strategy. At least three-years corporate work experience in marketing in an executive capacity is required.Advertised Salary: Commensurate with Experience
