Dominican College in Rockland County, 20 miles north of NYC, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing commencing in Fall 2021. This is a tenure-track position. Our program offers a Bachelor of Science in Marketing as part of our Business Administration Division. We seek motivated candidates with strong marketing and educational credentials who aspire to a position with a focus on teaching.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach a wide range of Marketing courses in a 4/4 course load
  • Advise and mentor a diverse undergraduate student population
  • Provide academic help and advisement to students outside of regular class time
  • Create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods
  • Serve on College-wide committees
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including those in other academic areas

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Marketing or a closely related field or an MBA or other graduate degree in Marketing combined with significant experience in a senior marketing role in a for-profit or not-for-profit entity
  • Teaching experience
  • Capability and enthusiasm to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
  • Understanding of the integration of technology into teaching and learning
  • Familiarity with online instruction
  • Motivation, initiative and commitment to teaching
