Dominican College in Rockland County, 20 miles north of NYC, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing commencing in Fall 2021. This is a tenure-track position. Our program offers a Bachelor of Science in Marketing as part of our Business Administration Division. We seek motivated candidates with strong marketing and educational credentials who aspire to a position with a focus on teaching.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach a wide range of Marketing courses in a 4/4 course load
- Advise and mentor a diverse undergraduate student population
- Provide academic help and advisement to students outside of regular class time
- Create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods
- Serve on College-wide committees
- Collaborate with colleagues, including those in other academic areas
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Marketing or a closely related field or an MBA or other graduate degree in Marketing combined with significant experience in a senior marketing role in a for-profit or not-for-profit entity
- Teaching experience
- Capability and enthusiasm to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
- Understanding of the integration of technology into teaching and learning
- Familiarity with online instruction
- Motivation, initiative and commitment to teaching
