RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Department of Marketing & International Business in the College of Business at Minnesota State    University, Mankato seeks qualified applicants for a full-time one year, fixed-term faculty position with possible renewal.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate marketing courses, to include face-to-face and online.  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contributing to student growth and development (e.g., involvement with student organizations and activities, advising/mentoring), professional and/or scholarly engagement, collaboration with business and industry partners, continuing professional education and preparation, and service to the department, college, university and region.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D., DBA or other terminal degree in marketing or business-related field.  ABD (all but dissertation) candidates may be considered with degree conferred on an official transcript by August 16, 2021.

OR

Master’s degree in marketing or related business area plus current (three years within the last five years of hiring) full-time professional industry experience clearly linked to marketing.  

*The Master’s degree must be conferred on an official transcript at the time of application.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Evidence of excellence in teaching online and face-to-face classes in the marketing discipline.
  • Relevant and substantial professional experience in marketing.
  • Evidence of ability to use technology for teaching and training.
  • Evidence of the ability to initiate and maintain community and business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct applied research.
  • D., DBA, or Master’s degree from an AACSB accredited business school.

Marketing and International Business

The Department of Marketing and International Business is housed in the AACSB accredited College of Business and serves over 550 marketing majors and 200 marketing minors. The Marketing program has been the 5th largest four-year degree granting program at the University over the last five years.  Marketing is one of the hottest programs at the University (fastest growing in the COB) and currently has seven full-time faculty members who focus in sales, integrated marketing communications and digital media.
