Our Profile

The Chair of Marketing at RWTH Aachen University aims to develop new insights at the interface between marketing, consumer behavior, and technological innovations. Current research projects are focused, for example, on smart products/smart services, product design/product aesthetics, design thinking, and the perception and evaluation of innovative products and services. Under the direction of Daniel Wentzel, an interdisciplinary team of currently eight researchers works as part of one of Europe’s largest and most renowned technical universities. Research findings are regularly published in A and A+ journals.

Your Profile

You have completed a Master’s degree as well as a doctorate in management/business administration,psychology or computer science with great success. 
You have mastered a broad range of empirical research methods and are interested in learning new ones. You have a very good command of the English language and ideally some experience in producing high-level publications as well as in applying for external funding.
You enjoy pursuing your research projects and publications as part of a team and are eager to act as a mentor to others. 
You are dedicated to building and maintaining relationships with partners from academia and industry.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

As a post-doc, you will be responsible for setting up and managing your own research area. You will lead research projects, design new ones, raise third-party funding for them, guide doctoral students, and publish your research results in leading international journals. Current research domains of the Chair include the usercentered
design of (technological) innovations as well as the development and marketing of innovative services. Within these broad domains, you will design and implement your own research projects.

What We Offer

The successful candidate will be employed under a regular employment contract.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and for three years. An extension for another three years is possible (six years total)
This is a full-time position. 
Applicants must have a doctorate/Ph.D. or equivalent.
The salary corresponds to pay grade TVL-13 of the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
