The University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business invites applications and nominations for a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer position in its Department of Marketing. This position involves preparing for and teaching seven undergraduate and/or graduate course sections per academic year, and contributing through service to the department, college and university. Primary instructional responsibilities will be in the professional sales and sales management content area, with potential secondary teaching assignments in related areas. Anticipated service responsibilities will focus, at least in part, on supporting the department’s Professional Sales Forum. The candidate’s mix of job responsibilities is subject to change based on departmental needs.  The effective date of employment will be August 1, 2021 (or when filled).

Qualifications

Required: Graduate degree in marketing or related field completed as of the starting date of employment.  

Preferred: The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in marketing or related field and a strong foundation and interest in the areas of professional selling and sales management. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of relevant business experience in the professional sales and sales management area, and those with a demonstrated ability to train and develop sales talent.
