Open Rank, Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Marketing

Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications for one or more open rank  tenure-track positions to begin in Fall 2021 in Marketing within the Department of Business Administration. Qualified candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related discipline by August 2021 to be considered for 100% full-time assistant, associate, or full professors in Marketing. The applicants will have demonstrated strong research skills through refereed publications in premier journals, and have a strong teaching capability.

The area is open to faculty with demonstrated excellence in consumer behavior, marketing strategy, and/or quantitative marketing.  Preference will be given to those with research focus on marketing innovation and global strategies, with demonstrated excellence or willingness to teach in online graduate programs.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels in both face to face and online programs.
  • Conduct high quality research, with preferred active program of research in domains of innovation and/or global strategy.
  • Perform service for the department.
  • Senior faculty are expected to provide leadership in the department and the university.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates at advanced ranks must possess a PhD degree; candidates for assistant professor should expect to have completed their doctoral degree (preferably in marketing) by Fall 2021.
  • Candidates must have strong research as well as demonstrated teaching effectiveness and leadership potential commensurate with position sought.

SALARY  Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.

PROPOSED STARTING DATE  June 16, 2021, July 16, 2021 or August 16, 2021.
