Position Summary:The Management and Marketing department at the University of Dayton seeks applications for multiple Assistant Professor positions (tenure track) in Marketing, beginning August 16, 2021. Our Department offers majors and minors in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Management. Our Entrepreneurship program for undergraduates is one of the very best in the nation – regularly rated among the best in the country by Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine. Our Sales program is recognized by Selling Power Magazine as a top university training program for developing sales professionals.We don’t stop there. Our Department sponsors several real-world competitions for students as part of our experiential learning experience. Our Talorico Center for Professional Selling trains and sponsors students to compete and win sales competitions. And, the Everest Real Estate Challenge and the UD Business Plan competition are open to all UD students offering over $80,000 in prize money. Departmental faculty hold editorships at leading and high quality journals, and have published work in journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Sciences, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, and others. The department has two nationally recognized centers, including one in Professional Sales and one in Entrepreneurship. We also expect ongoing publication in leading and high quality academic journals. Faculty research is actively encouraged and supported (e.g., summer research grants, travel support). Further responsibilities include service to the department, University, and academic community, and collaborative engagement with colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:● ABD in Marketing, Business Administration or an equivalent related field with successful defense of dissertation proposal at the time of application from a program accredited by AACSB or EQUIS 
● Strong potential of publishing in leading and high quality academic journals as evidenced by an on-going stream of research and by having scholarship already published or under review
● Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level in the marketing discipline
● Excellent written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
● A completed Ph.D. in Marketing, Business Administration, or an equivalent field from a program accredited by either AACSB or EQUIS, at the time of application.
● A record of publication in leading (and/or high quality) academic journals
● Teaching experience in marketing analytics, marketing strategy, buyer behavior or related courses
● Successful professional experience in marketing or allied areas
● Successful experience and/or willingness to work with students as part of co-curricular activities/project teams
● Versatility in teaching and mentoring, including students from diverse backgrounds
● Effective oral communication skills
● Effective interpersonal communication skills
● Ability to engage with others in a collegial and collaborative manner
