The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position starting August 2021. The position is open with respect to rank. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or related field from an AACSB accredited university.

Candidates with new or anticipated Ph.D. degrees will have research under way that is likely to result in one or more publications in top tier journals and will have presentation skills that suggest future excellence in teaching. Candidates for tenure rank will possess academic credentials to qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at Vanderbilt University.

The Owen Graduate School of Management is engaged in graduate and undergraduate management education. It has an enrollment of over 600 students in its MBA, Executive MBA, Global MBA for Executives, Master of Marketing, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Management in Health Care programs. In addition, Owen School faculty members teach in the Vanderbilt University undergraduate business minor. The Owen School enrolls a culturally diverse student body from all parts of the U.S. and 40 countries. Founded in 1873, Vanderbilt University is an internationally recognized research university with a student body of some 13,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, and approximately 1,460 full-time faculty (excluding faculty employed by the Medical Center), of whom 50 have their primary appointment in the Owen School. The university is situated on a 330-acre campus located a mile and a half south of downtown Nashville.

Home to more than 1.9 million people, the Nashville metropolitan statistical area has over a dozen colleges and universities, including four Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Nashville features many cultural and recreational amenities including a symphony orchestra, professional sports, an extensive park system, exceptional restaurants, and live music offerings across a broad variety of genres. Major industries include healthcare, publishing, insurance and finance, higher education, and entertainment. Nashville is frequently identified as one of the best U.S. cities for work, family, and quality of life by various national publications.
