Metropolitan State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor of Marketing.This is a full-time position within the Department of Marketing/Supply Chain/International Business and is expected to start August 16, 2021.

Responsibilities:

Faculty members are expected to:

·Demonstrate ability to teach marketing courses effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate level

·Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement

·Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study

·Contribute to student growth and development through advising and assistance and engage in service to the university and community

·Demonstrate a commitment to serving a culturally diverse student body through delivering a student-centered education in a liberal arts and sciences context and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.

·Outstanding candidates will demonstrate a commitment to serving a culturally diverse student body through delivering a student-centered education in a liberal arts and sciences context and will possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.

Minimum Qualifications: 

·PhD in marketing or closely related academic field from an AACSB, ACBSP, or equivalent accredited school.

·Experience teaching a variety of marketing courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

·Demonstrated ability to work in an institution with a culturally, economically and linguistically diverse workforce. 

·Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with a variety of persons and groups.

·Demonstrated expertise in teaching digital marketing or related work experience in digital marketing and analytics.

Preferred Qualifications: 

·Professional work experience in a closely related field.

·Evidence of outstanding service to the academic community.

·Experience teaching adult students.

·Experience advising undergraduate or graduate students.

·Experience advising traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds. 

·Willingness to teach daytime and/or evening courses in multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities area. 

·Knowledge of or willingness to learn online and web-supported course delivery.

·Evidence of scholarly work.

Salary:Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the salary placement process as outlined in the Inter Faculty Organization (IFO) Master Agreement.
