Job Description |
The Schey Sales Centre, housed in the Department of Marketing in the OHIO College of Business, invites applications for one full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing with a research emphasis/interest in sales technology and artificial intelligence. This position is in-person on campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio. The appointment is set to begin August 16, 2025.
The position is for a student-centered, innovative faculty member with a strong interest in sales research and teaching sales courses. Candidates will have a demonstrated record and interest in sales research, as well as excellent teaching performance and evaluations. This position is not open to consumer behavior focused faculty or modelers; candidates must research in the area of sales strategy with a preference for sales technology and artificial intelligence in line with OHIO’s Dynamic Strategy. Consideration will also be given to candidates who also have professional experience and demonstrated record of success in developing hands-on experiences, fostering an inclusive and experiential classroom, helping students to develop networking and soft skills, and working with executive/corporate partners. Candidates should also have interest in leading corporate-sponsored research projects and developing experiential leadership engagements with undergraduate students through the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre. Faculty will be expected to primarily teach in-person on Ohio University’s main campus in Athens, Ohio. New Assistant Professors typically have an initial four-course (12 credit hours) teaching load which expands to five courses (15 credit hours) pre and post tenure.
Salaries for the appointment are competitive based on AACSB statistics and the candidate’s credentials and record of success.
About the Marketing Department
The Marketing Department is the home of the nationally ranked Schey Sales Centre which was recently recognized by ScholarGPS as the #1 Global (Worldwide) Institution for Sales research for the Prior Five Years, as well as #5 Lifetime. The Department also is home to the nationally respected Center for Consumer Research & Analytics (CRA) which has a record of success working with start-ups and Fortune 500 companies since its inception a decade ago. Undergraduate programs include a marketing major, marketing minor, sales certificate, and consumer research certificate. The Marketing Department offers a variety of teaching opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Preferred Qualifications |
