THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING & ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR A NON-TENURE TRACK (NTT) LECTURE OR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION BEGINNING JANUARY 09, 2025. THIS IS A CONTINUOUS, RENEWABLE POSITION WITH A PRIMARY EMPHASIS ON TEACHING AND SOME SERVICE AND RESEARCH (OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES TO MAINTAIN CURRENCY IN THE FIELD) EXPECTATIONS.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL TEACH UNDERGRADUATE MARKETING COURSES DEPENDING ON DEPARTMENTAL NEEDS (E.G., CONSUMER BEHAVIOR, MARKETING RESEARCH, ADVERTISING & PROMOTIONS, SALES, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND DIGITAL MARKETING). THE CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO DELIVER COURSES IN-PERSON OR ONLINE. CANDIDATES WITH A PH.D. MIGHT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH IN THE MBA PROGRAM. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCES IN TEACHING UNDERGRADUATE PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING.

Minimum Qualifications:

A MASTER’S IN MARKETING OR RELATED FIELD. FOR CANDIDATES WITH A MASTER’S DEGREE, AN APPOINTMENT IS AT THE RANK OF NTT LECTURER.

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

DOCTORAL DEGREE IN MARKETING OR A RELATED FIELD. FOR CANDIDATES WITH A DOCTORAL DEGREE, AN APPOINTMENT IS AT THE RANK OF NTT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR.  PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TEACHING INTRODUCTORY UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN MARKETING.
