Job summary/basic function: The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2025, at the Assistant Professor level, from scholars who work in areas at the cutting edge of marketing and analytics. Candidates on a consumer behavior track are preferred, but candidates on a quantitative analytics track will also be considered.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in a relevant business discipline from an accredited university along with demonstrated evidence of producing original and innovative scholarly work, preferably with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join Lally as a tenure-track assistant professor and hold one of two Carey L. Wellington Developmental Chairs. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate courses in basic and advanced topics in analytics for marketing, as well as provide service to the Lally School of Management and to Rensselaer. We are particularly seeking candidates to teach courses in and related to marketing analytics and/or digital marketing, and the normal teaching load is 2-2.
The areas of research include marketing analytics and consumer behavior. Preferred candidates will have a research agenda aligned with a quantitative marketing and/or consumer behavior track. Experience in and deep knowledge of the marketing industry and current technological industry trends would be a plus.
