Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in business and marketing education and general teacher education, coordinating an Initial Licensure Program (ILP) in Business and Marketing Education, recruiting and marketing for the ILP in Business and Marketing, and ongoing course development. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching at the K-12 level and experience in curriculum development.
  • Coordinating the program’s course offerings with departments (STEM and Professional Education)
  • Working with Professional Education to align courses with educator preparation program (EPP) standards and Residency licensure requirements.
  • Developing or maintaining marketing and communications, such as program website, brochures, newsletters, intranet, correspondence, etc.
  • Advising prospective and current students.
  • Monitoring students’ licensure progress throughout their gateways (admission, continuation, program completion)
  • Participating in the recruitment and orientation of new students
  • Identifying methods and resources for facilitating faculty and program’s research impact
  • Interacting with groups beyond the university to identify resources

 

Other Work/Responsibilities:

  • Create syllabi before the start of each class.
  • Teach and lead each class section effectively.
  • Develop and present course activities tailored to student needs.
  • Grade assignments promptly and provide detailed written feedback.
  • Determine final course grades based on students’ performance.
  • Hold office hours for student support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with Program Coordinators to ensure alignment with current state requirements in professional education.
  • Consult with the Department Head on instructional matters as needed.
  • Attend professional education program meetings regularly.
  • Perform other course-related duties as required.
  • Manage daily operations of the Initial Licensure Program in Business and Marketing Education.

 

Minimum Experience/Education:
Requires a doctorate degree, an equivalent degree, or professional experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business and marketing education, with a focus on engaging and guiding students in their learning
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to publish work in appropriate venues
  • Ability to develop and maintain marketing and communication materials

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in coordinating field-based programs in Business and Marketing Education.
  • K-12 teaching experience in Business and Marketing Education.
