The Department of Marketing, Agribusiness, and Supply Chain Management at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is seeking applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor or Lecturer of Marketing position to begin in Fall 2025. The position is focused on championing the College’s emerging sales program and candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, scholarship, and student retention and success.

  • Teaching a full-time course load. Primary teaching areas include Professional Selling and Sales Management.
  • Create new courses to support the sales program, possibilities include advanced selling, sales technology, sales/marketing analytics, and customer relationship management.
  • Conducting scholarly research in sales-related areas that leads to publication in quality peer-reviewed journals
  • Coordinating co-curricular practices in the sales domain, such as competitions and industry engagement
  • Advising students and working with student organizations
  • Directing the growing Professional Sales Certification Program
  • Pursuing professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Marketing, or related field for tenure-track position/Masters for the lecturer. All but dissertation (ABD) will be considered if program completion is expected by May 2026.
  • College teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence
  • Interest in and ability to conduct high-quality research in marketing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University-level sales teaching experience
  • Online teaching experience
  • Quality publication history
  • Industry experience in sales
