About the College/Unit/Department

The Department of Marketing (www.terry.uga.edu/marketing/) offers the following degrees: PhD, Master of Marketing Research, MBA, MSBA, and BBA in Marketing. It also houses the Coca-Cola Center for Marketing Studies. The Terry College is the state’s flagship business school, with undergraduate, and graduate programs consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities. Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related social science discipline from an accredited university at the time of appointment.

Position Summary
The Department Marketing in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for one or more full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate professor rank, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2025.

Appointment at the assistant professor rank requires a demonstrated potential to publish rigorous research in premier peer-reviewed journals.

To be eligible for tenure on appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate professor, have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
Applicants with experience levels from new doctoral recipients to associate professors will be considered.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
While all areas of teaching and research focus will be considered, candidates with an interest in consumer behavior, analytics/strategy, or digital marketing are desired.
The ability to teach marketing classes at the undergraduate and master’s level is a plus.

Assistant or Associate applicants requesting service credit, should have a record of publication in premier journals commensurate with rank and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
