Job Description/Responsibilities
The Management and Marketing Department of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s School of Business seeks applicants to join the tenure-­track faculty in the Strategic Management area at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2025. The candidate’s responsibilities will include developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management and other related areas. Successful candidates for the position will have strong research engagement and/or a strong record of publications in Strategic Management and related disciplines.

The Management and Marketing Department houses a diverse set of disciplines – Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Marketing Research. This diversity provides opportunities for cross-­disciplinary collaborative research and curricula. The Department also has a diverse faculty, with about 50% female full-time members, and includes faculty members from the US, India, China, Spain, and South Korea.
In addition to scheduling interviews at the Academy of Management Career Fair, we will have limited availability for virtual interviews through August 16, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or be ABD nearing completion of a doctoral degree in Strategic Management or related area from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates must be qualified as Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards.

Terms of Appointment
Full-time, continuing, tenure-eligible appointment beginning August 2025.
