The Marketing area of the Business School of the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for an open-ranked faculty position in Marketing. The start date for this position is August 2024. The appointment is for one year.
The Business School brings together a world-class faculty, top-notch students, and influential business partners. With classes offered during the day, in the evening, and online, the Business School is the largest graduate school of business in the region and the first choice of business professionals; undergraduate business programs are recently revised and rapidly growing.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related field and a record of publishing and active scholarly activity during the past five years.
The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to successfully teach primarily graduate marketing foundations courses and marketing specialization courses in various modalities as supported by successful teaching activities in marketing courses as well as syllabi, university teaching evaluations, and references.
(Open Rank) Faculty Position in Marketing
What you will do:
The position consists of teaching, research, and service (negotiable). Depending on the faculty roles and responsibilities and rank, the teaching load ranges from 4-7 courses per year. Candidates must be willing to teach classes in person, online, or hybrid format during the day and evening, depending on departmental or program needs. The successful candidate is expected to reside in the Denver metro area during their time under contract.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
- A Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field within the last four years; or
- A Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field and at least two peer-reviewed journal articles and additional scholarly activity in the last four years; or
- ABD candidate within the last two years
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Demonstrated effectiveness in research, as evidenced by a minimum of two publications in high-quality refereed journals in the Australian ABCD List (preferably at the A and or A* level in the ABDC List) in the last four years.
- Two years (equivalent to four semesters) of successful teaching experience in multiple modalities at the university level before, during, or after the doctoral program.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at the following:
- Instructor is $78,000 – $90,000
- Assistant Teaching Professor is $125,000- $135,000
- Visiting Assistant Professor is $150,000 – $175,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
