ONE POSITION AT THE RANK OF FULL OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MARKETING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Marketing of ESSEC Business School seeks to fill one tenured position for our Singapore campus, with an effective start date of September 2021. The position is offered at the Full or Associate level.

The department will consider all applications, regardless of area of specialization. Candidates in quantitative marketing with expertise in digital marketing and marketing analytics, are, however, especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in marketing or a closely related field, a demonstrated ability to publish high-impact marketing research in top-tier journals, and a strong teaching record. Candidates are expected to be able to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and in executive education. Candidates must meet, and preferably exceed, the business school standards for appointment to the rank with tenure. Knowledge of French is not required.

Process:

If appropriate, reference letters should be sent separately to the same email address, clearly indicating the name of the candidate. We guarantee full confidentiality.

2.Applications are accepted now and should be sent no later than December 10, 2020. Earlier applications are strongly encouraged as we will consider applicants on a rolling bases.

3.The recruiting committee will examine candidate files regularly and organize preliminary job interviews via videoconference with selected candidates. The committee will organize these interviews on an ongoing basis.

4.The recruiting committee will assess the situation, and will invite selected candidates to either formal or virtual campus visits, based on school policy, government policy, and World Health Organization recommendations for international travel at the time.

Information about the Marketing Department

The Marketing department at ESSEC consists of 22 full time faculty, with three of those positions at the Singapore campus. Members of the department are highly involved in its PhD program and publish in leading journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and International Journal of Research in Marketing. A high level of research support is provided, including a generous budget for conference attendance.

ESSEC provides a number of benefits to marketing scholars. We have extensive contacts with businesses and business accelerators in Singapore and the region, have access to secondary databases and operate a state-of-the-art experimental laboratory with a large English-speaking subject pool.
