Fontbonne University seeks an Instructor of Marketing to join the faculty in the Eckelkamp College of Global Business and Professional Studies to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing. This is a full time faculty position with an excellent benefit package. The anticipated start date is August 2021.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Eckelkamp College of Global Business and Professional Studies, the Marketing Instructor will teach courses within the College’s business curriculum. This is a nine month contract with possible opportunities for teaching during the summer, if desired 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for a standard faculty teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Teach courses in the area of marketing and related fields
  • Advise students
  • Maintain office hours
  • Departmental committee work as assigned
  • Work to advance quality and recognition of the business and marketing programs, including the review, revision & development of curriculum
  • Develop relationships with industry and develop training partnerships
  • Work with other members of the College and Fontbonne community to move the college in a positive direction
  • Perform other responsibilities set forth in the faculty manual and as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or in related field from an ACBSP or AACSB accredited school
  • 3 years private sector experience in Marketing or a related field
  • Currency in field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Marketing or related field from an ACBSP or AACSB accredited school, (ABD would be considered)
  • Classroom and online teaching experience
  • Experience in curriculum and program development
  • Possession of other recognized Marketing certifications
