Responsibilities
Florida State University’s Rockwood School of Marketing is seeking candidates for a specialized full-time faculty role. This non-tenure track position involves teaching undergraduate students in marketing strategy, marketing research, and other marketing electives. The School of Marketing seeks candidates eager to actively participate in student learning and contribute to initiatives that bridge connections between students, industry professionals, and alumni.
This role requires a faculty member who values working with a vibrant student community and a collegial, hardworking department. Rockwood School specialized faculty are very involved in helping students develop academically and professionally and the teacher in this position must engage with students inside and outside the classroom. Florida State University’s specialized faculty (non-tenure track) are eligible for promotion ranks and timelines similar to their tenure track counterparts. The start date for this position is flexible, but Spring, 2025 is ideal.
Qualifications
Academic doctorate or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.

The Rockwood School was founded in 2022 with a $10 million gift in honor of Persis E. Rockwood, a longtime member of the Florida State University marketing faculty. Persis Rockwood was a trailblazer, becoming the first woman to earn a doctorate in marketing from Stanford University and the first woman to attain the status of Full Professor in the FSU College of Business. The Rockwood gift provides $6 million in funding that specifically targets faculty, including funding for an eminent scholar chair, two emerging scholar professorships, and a generous discretionary fund.
The Rockwood School is home to a collegial, visible, and supportive faculty group with undergraduate programs in marketing and sales, and a doctoral program in marketing. Faculty and staff are dedicated to developing students for successful careers.
