Responsibilities:
The Position of Department Head:
The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration is seeking a dynamic leader and administrator who can lead a team of faculty responsible for undergraduate programs including a major in Marketing and minors/concentrations in Sales, International Business, and Business Analytics. Reporting to the Dean of the Moody College of Business, the Head of the Department is responsible for administering the Marketing Department which includes but is not limited to, faculty recruitment and development, faculty evaluation, program development, program review, curriculum development, student advisement, departmental budgeting and budget control, class schedule planning, and general supervision of the teaching, research, and service and related activities of the department. The Department Head is responsible for providing guidance in defining the Marketing Department’s strategic priorities, building a culture of collaboration and engagement among faculty, staff, and students; recruiting and retaining a diverse and highly qualified student body and faculty; and grow the Department’s undergraduate programs. Additionally, the Department Head will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in marketing, quantitative methods, or business statistics, conduct research and discharge other duties normally associated with a university faculty appointment.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Statistics or related area from an AACSB accredited business school.
Credentials to be appointed to the rank of associate professor or professor in a discipline within the Department.
An established record of high-quality scholarship in a discipline within the Department.
A demonstrated ability to lead the Department’s undergraduate and graduate teaching, its research, and its overall contribution to the missions of the College and the University.
A record of effective teaching and service.
