Position: The Department of Business Administration is seeking applicants for one full-time position at the rank of Instructor of Business Administration, specializing in Marketing to start in August 2021. This position is for full-time, renewable appointment on a nine-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to craft business programs in a public liberal art setting at an institution that is nationally recognized for the quality of its teaching and students.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Marketing and related areas and develop a curriculum that prepares students for success in the rapidly evolving world of business. In addition, the successful candidate will mentor students, and provide service to the university and community.
The position requires a graduate degree in Business, with a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field preferred. Attainment of widely recognized business professional certifications will be among the preferred criteria for candidates. The candidate must be academically or professionally qualified according to criteria set by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business.
Applicants will be evaluated based on academic and professional qualifications, teaching philosophy and experience, commitment to student success and development, the potential for scholarship, interpersonal skills, and compatibility with department needs. The University is open to considering remote work arrangements with periodic visits to the campus.
The Program: The Department of Business Administration, a unit within the School of Business, offers a BA and BS in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance, Marketing, Management, and International Business. Additionally, the School of Business offers a BS in Accounting and a minor in Business. The School of Business sustains numerous, thriving co-curricular programs, including a student chapter of the American Marketing Association, the Bulldog Student Investment Fund, and a business plan competition.
The School of Business holds both business and accounting accreditation from Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the premier global accreditation body. This distinction has only been achieved by approximately 1.5% of universities worldwide.
