ESSEC Business School

Position

The Marketing Department at ESSEC Business School will have at least one additional position available for its Paris campus, with a start date of Fall 2021 (flexible start date is possible based on the candidate’s circumstances). This is in addition to the position at the Assistant level advertised earlier.

Ideally, the department will seek to hire a senior faculty with a focus on marketing analytics and/or digital marketing. However, all strong candidates will be considered, and are strongly encouraged to apply, regardless of grade or specialization.

Knowledge of French is not required nor expected for this position.

Process

Given the unusual circumstances, the recruiting committee will modify its interviewing process as follows:

  1. Interested candidates should send their application electronically to Nathalie Sourmail (mkg-recruit@essec.edu) with a cover letter indicating their motivation, an updated CV, and some examples of published articles or working papers. If appropriate, reference letters should be sent separately to the same email address, clearly indicating the name of the candidate. We guarantee full confidentiality.
  2. Applications are accepted now and should be sent no later than August 31st, 2020. Earlier applications are strongly encouraged.
  3. The recruiting committee will examine candidate files regularly and organize preliminary job interviews via videoconference with selected candidates. The committee will organize these interviews on an ongoing basis.
  4. Late September or early October, the recruiting committee will assess the situation, and will invite selected candidates to either formal or virtual campus visits, based on World Health Organization recommendations for international travel at the time.
