Job Description:
The Department of Business Administration at Trinity University invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Department of Business Administration, effective August 2024. The position requires a Doctoral Degree in Marketing or closely related field, Ph.D. or A.B.D.
preferred, from an AACSB accredited institution. A successful applicant will also demonstrate an appreciation of Trinity’s general education requirements with its emphasis on experiential learning,
community engagement, and global awareness. The ideal candidate would have established experience in teaching undergraduate marketing courses, particularly in the subjects of Principles of Marketing and Marketing Research. Additional teaching assignments in International or other areas of Marketing may be assigned depending on the candidate’s qualifications and the
department’s needs. Successful candidates will be able to exhibit documented excellent recent teaching evaluations, potential for impactful research and proven interest in pedagogical innovation, contribute to the University’s general curriculum, and provide service to the department and University.
BACKGROUND
Trinity’s AACSB-accredited Michael Neidorff School of Business graduates an average of 150 business majors per year. The School offers B.S. degrees in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Marketing, in addition to a B.A. in Business Administration for students pursuing a second major.
Housed in the newly renovated Chapman Center, the Michael Neidorff School of Business features state-of-the-art facilities to spur discovery, excellence, and inclusion. After undergoing a $33 million renovation over the past year, its re-opening this fall represents one of the final brush strokes in Trinity’s bold envisioning of its future. With dedicated work spaces for each department in the School, the new Chapman Center supports faculty’s teaching and scholarship. In particular, the Department of Business Administration’s Behavioral Research Lab provides faculty with the resources to test ideas, foster productive collaborations with other faculty, and offer a training laboratory for students.
