The School of Marketing in the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi seeks to fill a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing position starting August 2024. The School of Marketing invites candidates to apply for the Assistant Professor of Marketing position beginning August 2024. The position will support our growing Marketing BSBA and Professional Sales Certificate program and our planned Marketing Analytics certificate. Candidates with experience in engaged learning, sales, analytics, and online teaching are especially encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Ph.D./D.B.A. in Marketing or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates with ABD status may also be considered but must provide strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 2025.
A high-quality research pipeline and proven research record evidenced by quality publications. Relevant teaching experience/interests and demonstrated effective project-focused applied teaching experience. Ability to deliver instruction effectively in both face-to-face and online environments. Relevant experience in course development (face-to-face and online) and professional and/or academic experience related to sales and/or analytics is desired. Emphasis is also on candidates who can connect with and relate to our students and challenge them to become effective problem solvers according to the School of Marketing’s Mission/Vision.
