Opportunity

The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Associate Professor or Professor in Marketing.

As the successful incumbent you will have an established research record in quantitative marketing and digital marketing, with strong research skills in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, and empirical modelling. Appointees will have an outstanding track record in leadership, research, teaching, industry engagement, supervision of research students and mentoring of junior colleagues.

All appointees will be expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual life of the Department and their academic disciplines. They will develop and teach into the Department’s Master of Digital Marketing and/or the quantitative subjects offered in our undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.

You will possess;

  • Completed a PhD in the marketing discipline.
  • An established and exemplary track record of publication in reputable marketing journals on a national and international level.
  • Demonstrated success in attracting research funding and other grants.
  • A record of high-quality teaching and leadership in course and curriculum development.
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality mentoring and supervision of graduate students.
  • Development of innovative strategies that have enhanced teaching and learning.

The Marketing discipline in the Department of Management and Marketing (Faculty of Business and Economics) is ranked #17 in the world in the 2023 QS World Rankings by Subject, and #30 worldwide in the UT Dallas rankings based on productivity 2020- 2023.
