The University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business invites applications and nominations for a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer position in its Department of Marketing. This position involves preparing for and teaching up to seven undergraduate and/or graduate course sections per academic year, in person and/or online, and contributing through service to the department, college, and university. Primary instructional responsibilities will be in the professional sales and sales management content area, with potential secondary teaching assignments in related areas. Anticipated service responsibilities will focus on supporting the department’s Professional Sales Forum, including but not limited to, mentoring and advising student members of the Professional Sales Leadership Program (PSLP). The candidate’s mix of job responsibilities is subject to change based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

Required: Graduate degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment. 

Preferred: The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in marketing or related field and a strong foundation and interest in the areas of professional selling and sales management. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching and business experience, and to those applicants with the aptitude necessary to design and deliver courses online (synchronously and asynchronously).
