The AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration at Winthrop University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing position to begin in August 2023. Winthrop University, located in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan region, is a liberal arts, masters-granting state university. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, a strong commitment to student learning and development, and the ability to establish an independent research program that leads to high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. This 9-month tenure-track faculty position with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor requires a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely-related field (ABDs will be considered). The standard teaching load is three courses (9 credit hours) per semester. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is identified. Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Marketing with a focus on digital marketing and data analytics required (ABDs will be considered)
  • Previous experience with digital marketing and data analytics preferred; experience
    in digital marketing, along with use of big data and demographics for market planning
  • Evidence of developing or existing research stream within digital marketing and data
    analytics
  • Candidate’s credentials across education experience and publication record must meet accreditation requirements
