Career Development Fellow in Marketing and Artificial Intelligence

Grade 8: £42,149 – £50,296 per annum 

 Applications are invited for the position of Career Development Fellow in Marketing and Artificial Intelligence at Saïd Business School. The CDF will be based in the Oxford Future of Marketing Initiative (FOMI) at Saïd Business School, reporting to Professor Andrew Stephen and with opportunities to work with all members of the marketing faculty, in particular Drs Jason Bell, Cammy Crolic, Rhonda Hadi, and Felipe Thomaz. FOMI also has currently four other postdoctoral researchers affiliated with it, a full-time research data scientist, and a team of professional staff who assist with project management, administration, partner relations, impact, and communications. For more information on FOMI please visit www.OxfordFutureofMarketing.com Under the direction of Professor Stephen, the successful candidate will conduct rigorous, relevant, and important academic research in marketing and artificial intelligence/machine learning/digital and publish research in top-tier (FT50) marketing journals. They will also present this research at the major academic marketing conferences. The Fellow will teach 144 teaching points in degree and/or executive programmes, primarily on courses related to marketing and actively participate in the life of the Saïd Business School by attending meetings, early career researcher events, and research seminars. The successful candidate will hold or be close to completing a PhD in marketing or in a closely related discipline such as economics, statistics, psychology, or computer science and has knowledge of academic research in marketing.  Have a publication track record commensurate with the career stage and a promising research pipeline targeting top-tier marketing journals. Ability to conduct rigorous and relevant empirical research in marketing, focused on working with medium-to-large sized datasets and using advanced statistical and/or machine learning methods, in topics that align with the interests of FOMI and are relevant to business stakeholders outside of academia.  The successful candidate will have an interest in teaching marketing in a business school with a prior teaching experience in marketing or on marketing-related methodology topics (e.g., statistics, analytics, data science). The successful candidate will have depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject of marketing to develop course units in collaboration with faculty members and take an active part in examinations and assessment on the School’s marketing courses. The candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to engage fully in the intellectual life of an active group of marketing faculty members and postdoctoral researchers in a leading world-class business school. Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.
