The Department of Management, Marketing and Management Information Systems in the College of Arts, Sciences, Business and Education at Winston-Salem State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing beginning August 2022 who will be teaching a variety of marketing courses. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research with interests in marketing analytics, marketing research, entrepreneurial marketing, and marketing strategy.

The candidate would also be expected to serve as a faculty advisor, mentor, and coach students, produce innovative scholarly research that results in publications in peer-reviewed journals within the discipline, present at professional conferences, participate in departmental, college and university service as well as engage in service to the professional discipline and the larger Winston-Salem and Forsyth County community. Procuring extramural funds with interdisciplinary teams is encouraged.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in delivery of both on-campus and online classes 
  • Previous experience advising undergraduate students 
  • Previous experience procuring extramurally funded grant funds
  • Previous experience partnering with business and industry
