Description of Position

NSU invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Marketing. The position is in the Department of Marketing, Hospitality, and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business & Technology, and will be based on the Tahlequah campus. NSU has campuses in Tahlequah, Muskogee, and Broken Arrow, OK.

In addition to teaching a range of Marketing courses, the faculty member’s responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues, the department, and the college to build the Marketing program.

While this faculty position is based on the Tahlequah campus, teaching responsibilities may be assigned on any or all of the NSU campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing.  A full teaching load at NSU normally consists of twelve (12) hours per semester.  Teaching assignments may be on any NSU campus (Tahlequah, Muskogee, Broken Arrow) and may include face-to-face, hybrid (blended), and online delivery.

All NSU course delivery integrates technology.  NSU seeks candidates with experience or who are willing to teach in hybrid (blended) and online formats when needed.  Additional opportunities to teach summer classes are available.  In addition to teaching, the position involves student mentoring, university service, and professional/scholarly contributions to the discipline.

Candidates will contribute to and encourage collegiality, professional development, and scholarly activity while balancing the needs of a diverse faculty and student body.

Education Requirements

Highly-qualified candidates will have a completed doctorate.  ABD will be considered, but a completed doctorate is required for tenure.

Experience

University teaching required.

A research or professional background in digital media is preferred.

Active participation in state, regional, and national professional organizations is preferred.
