Job Description

A tenure track faculty position in Marketing is available beginning August 2020. The faculty member will be expected to provide high quality education to both graduate and undergraduate students, in both the traditional classroom and electronic media settings. The targeted teaching load is 24 hours per academic year, excluding summers, averaging about 12 hours per semester. Published research is a requirement for retention, promotion, and tenure. Service to the school, university and external constituencies is also expected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • MBA or ABDs in Marketing from a regionally accredited university with a firm completion date will be considered. 
  • The candidate must have earned a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Marketing and should be able to teach a variety of upper and lower division marketing courses.
  • A successful candidate who has not completed the doctorate by August 2020 will be appointed at the rank of instructor. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university by date of interview.
  • Teaching experience at the university level and evidence of excellence in teaching.
  • Evidence of scholarly research.
  • Experience in digital marketing with the use of simulations to engage students, and knowledge of geo-fencing techniques.

SALARY RANGE: 

Commensurate with education and experience.
