The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a four-year undergraduate college of the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for an appointment stream position as Assistant Professor of Marketing beginning September 2023. Ph.D. in Marketing preferred, Master’s degree in Marketing or related field and teaching experience at the college level required; professional experience required. Responsible for teaching Principles of Marketing, an introductory course required of all Business majors, and core and upper-level Marketing classes that may include Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Promotion Management, and internship supervision. The teaching load is four courses per semester.

We are seeking an individual who will contribute to innovation in the Marketing program and work closely with local businesses to create experiential learning opportunities for our students through internships, team projects, and independent studies. Candidates should have a strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and tactics and how data and new technologies drive engagement. Candidates should be willing to participate in all phases of departmental, divisional, and college activities.
