Cornell SC Johnson College of Business

Cornell University

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applicants from qualified individuals for a tenure track faculty position (open rank) in the Marketing and Management Communication Area.  Rank is Assistant Professor, untenured Associate Professor, tenured Associate Professor, or tenured Full Professor. Candidates would be appointed at the rank that is appropriate given their experience and performance. The position will be based in Ithaca, NY, with an intended start date of July 1, 2023.

Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching courses in marketing at the undergraduate, master’s, and/or Ph.D. levels, supervision of doctoral candidates, and service to the Area, School and/or College.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Marketing or a related field (e.g., economics, statistics, computer science, data science, behavioral science, etc.) and demonstrate the potential to publish in top-tier marketing journals. We are especially interested in candidates with strong training and research interests in quantitative marketing or candidates from relevant non-marketing backgrounds with the following relevant methodological areas of interest: big data, machine learning, unstructured data (text, images, audio, video, etc.), econometrics of high-dimensional data, structural or reduced-form econometrics, etc. Substantive areas of interest could include any topic relevant to marketing.

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H.
