Position Description and Qualifications
Lehigh University’s Department of Marketing in the College of Business invites applications for a non­ tenure track instructional position in Marketing beginning August 2023. The position rank is open and can be associate or full professor dependent upon the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. This is a non-tenure track, full time, fixed term, renewable position.


Interested candidates must possess an earned doctorate in marketing from an AACSB or equivalently accredited university, and at least ten years of full-time teaching experience at the university level. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a wide variety of marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrated willingness to teach via in-person, remote, and hybrid teaching modalities are expected. The standard teaching load is equivalent to 8 courses per academic year (typically, 4 three­ credit courses per semester). The selected candidate is expected to be a highly engaged and committed member of the Marketing Department by participation in student advising and department, college, and university service. Other opportunities such as committee service are also available. Teaching opportunities in winter and summer may be available for additional compensation based on department needs and faculty interest. Compensation for the position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated excellence in teaching effectiveness.


Department of Marketing
The Department of Marketing is a collegial group of dedicated professionals focused on conducting research with impact, enhancing the educational experience of our students, and generating positive visibility by means of their contributions. We currently have 13 full time faculty members and a full-time visiting faculty member as of Fall 2022. College of Business
Approximately 1,700 undergraduates, 350 graduate students, and 98 full time faculty members comprise the College of Business. In addition to offerings at the undergraduate level, a flexible MBA that can be completed part time, a one-year full time MBA program, Masters in Management, M.S. programs in Accounting and Information Analysis, Economics, and Analytical Finance, and an economics-based Ph.D. program are also offered. Joint programs exist between business and engineering both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our programs have been recognized in various rankings.
