The School of Marketing and Innovation at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, Tampa, invites applications for a two (2) tenure-track/tenured positions at the Advanced Assistant or Associate level. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Strategy or a related business discipline from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited University. A minimum of 5 years post PhD experience.
Applications are welcomed from all strategy areas, although a strong preference exists for scholars with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation research and teaching. Ideal candidates will target and publish in high quality strategy and entrepreneurship journals (AMJ, AMR, SMJ, ASQ, OrgSc, RP, JBV, ETP, SEJ, etc.) and demonstrate excellence in teaching. Teaching experience in courses related to social and global entrepreneurship and strategy is highly desired.
The School of Marketing and Innovation offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in marketing, entrepreneurship, sports management and supply chain management including an MS/entrepreneurship, MS/marketing, MS/sport entertainment management, MS/supply chain management and Ph.D program with a concentration in marketing. Faculty members also teach in the MBA, Executive MBA, and DBA programs. The School offers a strong mix of collegiality and scholarship along with a friendly and welcoming environment. Faculty members are research-active, with recent publications in high quality strategy and entrepreneurship journals. A new behavioral research lab is available for those wishing to conduct experiments. The lab is equipped to support research and teaching, including collection of biometric data using iMotions software.
The Muma College of Business operates in an exciting, vibrant, innovation-friendly environment. Over the past few years, USF received over $50 million from key donors to name the Muma College of Business, the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability, the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program, and the Collier Student Success Center. In recent years, the Muma College of Business successfully launched the Center for Marketing and Sales Innovation and also one of the country’s new breed of DBA programs targeting C-suite executives.
