The Golub Capital Social Impact Lab at the Kellogg School of Management is seeking applicants for two postdoctoral fellowships. The primary criterion for acceptance is research excellence relevant to social impact, broadly defined. The term of the fellowship is for two years and begins in September of 2023. Prior to the beginning of the fellowship applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in a social science discipline (e.g., economics, marketing, organizational behavior, psychology, sociology, political science) or in a discipline that can inform social science or management research. The fellows will conduct original research related to social impact and collaborate with Kellogg researchers. We especially invite applicants that engage in innovative research at the intersection between social movements and markets, corporate sustainability and social responsibility, impact driven organizational change and non-market strategy. Applicants are strongly encouraged to identify faculty members with whom they would be interested in collaborating. The 2023 fellows will be primarily supported by Golub Capital Social Impact Lab core faculty Brayden King and Klaus Weber, as well as other affiliated faculty. Visit our website for more details. The fellows are expected to be actively involved in Kellogg’s intellectual communities by participating in colloquia, workshops and research seminars. The fellows will also serve as a think tank to support student projects in the Golub Capital Board Fellows Program. The Golub Capital Board Fellows Program is a rigorous, 20-month program that connects 100 top Kellogg students to Chicago-area nonprofits for a distinct opportunity in board service. For full consideration, please submit (1) a current CV, (2) a research statement that addresses how your work relates to the Golub Social Capital Impact Lab’s mission and its faculty members, (3) up to two publications or manuscripts, and (4) the name and contact information for two to three people who will submit recommendation letters on your behalf. Please include in your application if you have prior experience (work or volunteering) in the nonprofit or social enterprise sector.
