The School of Marketing and Innovation at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction, “Instructor” in Marketing based on its St. Petersburg campus. 

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA in business administration from an accredited University or a Ph.D. in a related field from a university accredited in that field or expect to complete to complete a Ph.D. or DBA prior to the start date.  Significant professional work experience in the area of Sales Management is also required.

The successful candidate will be able to effectively teach Professional Selling and Sales Management courses, and other Marketing courses, both in-person and online.  The teaching assignment is 12 credit hours each for fall and spring semesters. In addition, the faculty member hired for this position will be heavily involved in the School’s sales program and will coach students in sales competitions, etc. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness and ability to maintain certification as a Scholarly Academic under AACSB guidelines. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Compensation for summer courses, when scheduled, is in addition to the base salary.

Minimum Qualification:

  1. A PhD in Business with specialization in marketing or DBA from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited institution or a PhD in other related disciplines before the start of employment

  2. Reputation of program granting the candidate’s degree.
  3. Reputation of program(s) and organizations where candidate was previously employed.
  4. Meets or can meet the College’s criteria for AACSB Scholarly Academic designation
