The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Marketing/Sales within the Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business and Technology (AACSB accredited), to begin in fall 2023. Candidates must possess or be within 6 months of completion (if currently ABD) a doctorate in Marketing (preferably with a focus on Sales). The review of candidates will focus on their demonstrated, or potential for, research, teaching, and service to the department, college, and/or university. The minimum teaching load is 3 courses per semester for those meeting the criteria for Scholarly Academic (SA) status under AACSB standards. Salaries are competitive with other AACSB-accredited institutions, and a review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.

Responsibilities include developing, teaching, and effectively-managing undergraduate and graduate sales courses. An opportunity to lead the UNA Steele Center for Professional Selling (accredited by the University Sales Center Alliance) may be available. Priority may be given to applicants with experience in teaching sales-related courses, working with a university sales center, and/or industry sales experience. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching in both face-to-face and online modalities. A track record, or potential of, producing publications necessary for the college to meet current AACSB International accreditation standards is also expected. 

The Department of Management and Marketing includes diverse faculty members with a variety of specializations and research interests. The College of Business & Technology has recently launched an executive doctorate in business administration (EDBA) program and has one of the largest online MBA and EMBA programs in the region. The University of North Alabama has approximately 9,000 students, has a Division I athletic program, and has recently been highlighted by the Alabama Commission for Higher Education (ACHE) as the fastest growing university in the state. In addition, UNA was recently ranked by Honor Roll as one of the great colleges to work for, and as one of the best regional universities (U.S. News). UNA is located in Florence, AL.
