DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION SCHOLAR FELLOW (POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW IN MARKETING)

Position:

The Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University invites applications for a Postdoctoral fellow in Marketing position starting Fall 2022. The Postdoctoral fellow position will be housed within the Marketing department at the Neeley School of Business. The Postdoctoral Fellow is responsible for contributing scholarly work through teaching, research, creative activity, and service. This position is part of TCU’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Scholar Fellowship Program, which is designed to recruit emerging scholars from a range of disciplines who are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. The program is part of TCU’s wider commitment to promoting inclusive excellence, furthering the university’s goals for a more diverse faculty and inclusive campus. This position is grant funded and appointment to this role is for a period of up to 2 years.

  • Opportunities to engage and participate as an active member of the TCU communitySalary is competitive with similar postdoctoral fellowships at R1 business schools, and the position includes a generous benefits package including access to medical, vision, dental, and life insurance.Job Description:The TCU DEI Postdoctoral Fellow in Marketing is expected to: 1) teach one class per year of the fellowship; 2) focus on establishing a research record and pipeline; 3) meet regularly with faculty mentors; 4) participate in professional development opportunities, including professional and discipline- related conferences and organizations; and 5) connect and collaborate across the college and institution when deemed appropriate.The Department:Research is highly valued in the Neeley School of Business and the department consists of research active faculty across various subdomains in marketing including consumer behavior, empirical modeling,

as well as marketing strategy. As a faculty, we are deeply committed toward mentoring and working with the postdoctoral fellow in order to further their research agendas, especially in the topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in marketing.

Qualifications:

  • The selection committee will consider all factors that enhance a candidate’s ability to contribute to diversity in the academy, including varied socioeconomic and cultural experiences, diversity- related research, teaching goals emphasizing diversity, and first-generation college graduates. Candidates meeting these criteria should highlight these experiences in the diversity statement (item #4 below).
  • Must have PhD in Marketing or related field from an accredited institution within the past five years and no later than July 1, 2022.
