The School of business invites applications for a full time, 9-month, Tenure Track Faculty position in Marketing beginning Fall of 2022.   

The Plymouth State University School of Business offers ACBSP-accredited undergraduate degrees in business administration, accounting, finance, management, marketing, and sports management, and a number of related undergraduate and minors and certificates. Plymouth State University graduate programs include a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science in Accounting. Our business programs have a track record of providing relevant, experiential and applied learning experiences that challenge students and prepare each for career success 

We seek a dynamic colleague committed to teaching excellence, student development, and service. 

Tenure-track Faculty positions are full time, with benefits, and the teaching load is 24 credits per year. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in related field of marketing, global marketing, digital marketing.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level marketing, branding, digital marketing, or other business development courses during the last two-to-five years.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate-level contemporary business and marketing topics.
  • Demonstrated teaching proficiency or potential for excellent teaching.
  • Ability to serve as an academic advisor and mentor for undergraduate students.
  • A record of scholarship or strong potential for scholarship
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional work experience in contemporary marketing with preference with digital media. 
  • Professional consulting experience or American Marketing Association engagement. 
  • Ability to engage with a wide variety of learners, including first-generation students.
  • Participation in collaborative projects and programs with faculty and students.
  • Experience integrating technology to enhance student learning including Canvas as a learning management system.
  • Experience with curriculum design and innovative course delivery strategies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
This faculty position includes teaching (undergraduate and graduate courses), student advising, active engagement in scholarship, and service internal and external to the campus.
