Instructional Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Marketing

The Marketing Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for an instructional faculty position in Marketing at our Desoto center campus in Southaven, Mississippi (a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee). This is a full-time non-tenure track teaching-focused position at the instructional assistant/associate/full professor rank. 

Duties: To teach undergraduate courses in marketing at regional campuses and to perform duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Marketing. The normal teaching load for this position for a faculty member is 3-4 (9 credit hours one semester and 12 credit hours in the other semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability. Some courses will involve multi-site video conferencing and other non-traditional delivery methods. While effective teaching is the primary responsibility for this position, the incumbent would be expected to maintain qualification consistent with AACSB standards.  Faculty maintain “Scholarly Academic” (SA) qualification through the publication of at least two refereed journal articles in a five-year rolling window. 

Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, the preferred applicant would have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August 2022) from an AACSB or well-respected business program in Marketing. Candidates should possess a record that demonstrates the capability and commitment to be an effective instructor and to publish marketing research sufficient to maintain SA status. 

The School of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and offers programs at the undergraduate, MBA and PhD levels. Approximately 3,300 undergraduate, 125 MBA and 25 PhD students are currently enrolled in the School.
