Essential FunctionsThe Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the field of Marketing. The College of Business Administration is accredited by the AACSB. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of August 2022.The incoming faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, publish impactful research in scholarly outlets, and provide service to the university and the academic field. We are looking to hire someone who can teach Omnichannel Marketing/ Multichannel Retailing and adjacent courses in Digital/ Social Media Marketing. Marketing major is one of the largest on campus, the incoming faculty member will join 9 existing tenured/tenure track faculty members and 5 full-time instructors. We have already hired two faculty members last year to focus on similar courses, and we are looking forward to adding to the momentum.The University and College of Business Administration have a strong commitment to achieving diversity among faculty and staff. Additional DutiesAdditional Information on The College of Business Administration (CBA)
The College of Business Administration is situated in Omaha, NE, a metro area with population of just below a million. The metro area offers a good mix of large, medium, and small businesses in banking, finance, insurance, information technology, telecommunications, architecture/construction, and logistics. The CBA shares close ties with most of the companies. The CBA also enjoys exceptionally good support from the community. In 2010, the college moved to state of the art Mammel Hall, fully supported by gifts and donations from the community. We have already run out of space, as a new addition to the building is slated to open in Fall 2021.At the undergraduate level, the college offers 15 different concentrations to meet a wide range of goals of students. There are 19 concentrations available across 3 graduate programs. We also have a cohort-based Executive MBA program, and we are a major partner in the graduate program in Data Science.The college has many partnerships across the world, where our faculty regularly visits to teach. Required QualificationsRequired qualifications include a completed doctoral degree in business with the major field of study in marketing or allied areas. ABD candidates will also be considered. However, they will need to complete their PhD before August 2022.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience in and research focus on Omnichannel/ Multichannel Marketing, including Digital / Internet / Social Media Marketing is preferred. Experience or potential expertise in teaching online, evidence of excellence in graduate and/or undergraduate teaching, and an established record or of research accomplishments are preferred. Related work experience in marketing is also preferred.
