The Department of Marketing under the CUHK Business School is looking for vibrant scholars to join the group as Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (tenured or tenure-track) commencing 2021 or 2022.  Applications are welcomed from candidates with research interests in consumer behaviors or quantitative marketing. 

Job Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Marketing, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Statistics, Economics or other related fields; (ii) a strong and active research programme commensurate with the target rank; and (iii) the commitment to teaching excellence, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.  Teaching will be conducted in English and knowledge of Chinese is not necessary.

Remuneration

Appointments will be made on contract basis for three years initially, which, subject to performance and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications will be offered.  The comprehensive benefit package provided by the University includes leave, medical care, retirement scheme contributions, plus a contract-end gratuity and housing benefits.

About the Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing has a strong focus on research.  According to UT Dallas ranking 2015-2020, the Department is ranked #37 globally and #1 in Asia on the outputs published in Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, and Journal of Marketing.  Beyond marketing discipline, our faculty members also publish regularly in other premier business and psychology journals (e.g. Management Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Psychological Science, JPSP, JEP_G, and JEP_A).  Members have also served on the editorial boards of numerous leading journals.
